Skincare Resolutions For A Glowing Complexion

NEW YEAR, BETTER YOU, BEAUTIFUL SKIN!

The New Year has officially arrived and we have rounded up our top skincare resolutions to keep your skin healthy, glowing, and nourished all year long.

1. WASH YOUR FACE

We can't stress how important it is to wash your face every single night. Not only to remove make-up but dirt and excess sebum too. Clean skin allows for your products to penetrate deeper and nourish your skin while you sleep. If there is only one skincare resolution you take on this year, washing your face should be a non-negotiable.

2. STAY HYDRATED

We understand that skincare can be a little overwhelming at times, however, one of the most important rules of healthy, clear, and glowing skin is simply to stay hydrated - from the inside out and outside in. It's important to drink 2-3 liters of water a day and apply hydrating products in the AM and PM.

3. APPLY SPF EVERYDAY

UVA rays can penetrate through clouds, fog, and glass. Although UVB rays are considered responsible for burning, UVA rays have been proven to cause the most damage to the skin in terms of ageing and the development of skin cancer. Protect your skin every single day by applying SPF as the last step of your morning routine.

4. EXFOLIATE REGULARALY

Exfoliating regularly is the secret to beautiful glowing skin. By removing pore-clogging surface impurities and dulling dead skin cells from the skin, exfoliation helps diminish discoloration and prevent future breakouts. If you are new to exfoliating start out with a gentle exfoliator once a week and work with your skin type.

5. SHOW YOUR NECK SOME TLC

Skincare tends to be focused around the face but the skin on our décolletage is just as sensitive and therefore should be treated with the same level of care. Most cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing products can be carried down from your face to your neck and chest. This will help prevent early signs of aging which is often first visible on your décolletage.

6. CLEAN YOUR TOOLS

Not cleaning your face tools is one of the biggest skincare mistakes you can make. We recommend that you clean your tools (that's everything from your make-up brushes to your gua sha) once a week to prevent dirt and bacteria from clogging your pores and potentially causing breakouts.
